1. We took the vocabulary test
2. Guest speakers from area colleges (about 25 minutes)
3. "Monte Cristo:" We didnt have a lot of time to go over chapters 1-6, but we did the best we could....we checked out a quick power point presentation on the main themes and philosophical ideas we'll examine in the story....your homework is to read THROUGH chapter 11...you may find chapter 11 itself a bit confusing, but dont worry too much about it....make sure you read it, but I will explain what you need to know about this chapter when you get back

PUBLIC SPEAKING

1. Your very last "stump" speech
2. Comedy: We continued with our analysis of "The State" and "King of the Hill".....students were to analyze how the 10 elements of comedy exist in these episodes....take notes which were handed in at the end of class
3. Presentation for Monday: Share an audio, visual, or print clip (of your choosing) that touches upon TWO (minimum) of the elements of comedy we've discussed. If using a youtube clip, you MUST have it ready to go (no "wait....let me just find it....."). Also, it MUST be school appropriate. If it is not, you earn a zero on this test grade.
