-read together and on own THROUGH the end of page 61...we will continue with this next time we have class on Tuesday....bring all your notes next time as we will have a quiz

1. THE LOTTERY
-all notes on the story/discussion, etc
-go over traditions/etc
-assign paper (same as Orange day from last week....to see the literal assignment prompt, please see the blog post from 'september 26,' which was an orange day....see me if you have any questions....
2. THE BIRTHMARK
-begin discussion of Romantism, characters, etc.
-we ran out of time, and on Tuesday, when we have class, we will continue for about ten minutes on the rest of the notes for this story
3. There is no new reading, as now you are pretty much caught up with Orange day...but you should start thinking about your paper!

**Many of you missed today because of the yearbook ad drive....make sure to get the notes you missed...also you will need to make up the quiz**

-touch base with what you did with sub on Monday
-quiz on section 3
-begin notes on Epic Superhero 'conventions' and 'stereotypes' in an effort to get you prepared for the paper which will be due next week....I will 'officially' assign this paper on Tuesday, when we finish doing all the notes on this!
