-finish section 1 together...reading out loud together
-start on section 2 "Battle with Grendel's mother" and read very short section on own...answer oral questions...

HONORS ENGLISH

1 "The End of Something" by Hemingway
-go over notes you took....the story....discuss thoughts and opinions
2. There will be a quiz on TUESDAY over the short stories--this will primarily focus on the notes/discussion/literary devices we went over pertaining to the short stories we have read....
3. Paper assigned:
Describe an incident--or series of incidents--where a seemingly positive quality (like loyalty, pride, etc) can become a FLAW that damages a person's life. Use at least one store we have read in this unit to exemplify this point. 
I did not give you a due date for this paper yet....we will discuss it next week in class
4. Cultural Literacy vocab
-'scavenger hunt' asking around for definitions
