a. revisit idea of thesis statement
b. listen/analyze song, music, lyrics, etc
c. discussion of key points
d. Write in class-your own thesis based on the song
Public Speaking
1. Discussion of "Bad Speakers" and their "idiosyncrasies."
2. View "The Office" and watch the episode called "Dwight's Speech."
3. For a participation grade, hand in notes/observations as we discuss what we can learn about how to (and how to NOT) deliver an effective speech
