College Prep English, Honors English, and English 12 all did the same thing today, and it was the same as the "honors English" lesson from yesterday. At the beginning of the year, before we really get going, I have all the seniors do the same stuff....

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Welcome Back!

You know what I absolutely LOVE??? I love it when a student is absent, and they come back in the next day and say "did we do anything when I was out??" The answer, of course, is NO!!! Since you were absent, we held a vigil for you....complete with CANDLES and hymns....and we all went around in a circle, explaining how much we missed you and what we love about you....

Except we didnt.

You will undoubtedly be out of class this year (field trips, illness, college visits, UFO abductions, etc). When you are, it is YOUR responsibility to get the work you missed--yours, and yours alone. Over the years, I have become tired of the same old question: What did I miss? Part of this blog is to tell you what we do each day. When you are out, simply check the blog. Fun! At the end of each school day, I will post that day's lesson, agenda, assignment, etc. CHECK THE BLOG!!

Also, this blog (hopefully and eventually) will become a place for discussion, questions, and more. I welcome your tips and suggestions for this blog--but to start, we'll definitely have the daily assignments posted. Okay? You can leave a comment on this blog, or you can email me directly at jgoldsmith@winslowk12.org if you have questions of concerns. Good luck this year!!!!
