-Analyze and collect data on episodes of Arrested Development, focusing on one particular character...your job is to write a claim, data, warrant response analyzing a character from the show...while watching the DVD, you should be collecting good, solid data
-This essay (which should be about 1.5 pages....) will be due on Monday
3. Term Paper
-we will go to the library on Monday after meeting in class....you should have a preliminary thesis statement to share on Monday....

BLACK DAY
ENGLISH 12
1. Continue with film for Hamlet and take good notes on two prevailing moods you see (based on the sheet I gave you last class)...we will watch the film up to the start of Act 5, and then you will write about the strongest prevailing mood in Hamlet....remember to use at least four vocab words and one sentence with a colon
2. Please study for your vocab quiz (your second to last one!!) which will be on Thurs.
3. If you have read this blog--like a good student--come see me prior to Thursday, and I will give you the answer to a "secret bonus" worth a bunch of extra points....JUST for reading the blog!

HONORS CLASS was the same as the black day class from last Friday
FRESHMEN
1. Remember to study for your vocab quiz which will be on WEd
2. There was the in class writing prompt involving using ten of your vocab words
3. With R&J we are done with the reading, now that we read aloud for the last time in Act 4 scene 2,3,4
4. We will continue with the film from this point on!

1. Lit Exercise for participation grade
-go over colons
-go over moods
-go over inferences
-on back, using 50 words and two sentences containing colons, answer the question: What is something you HAVE to do that you dont necessarily WANT to do?
2. Hamlet
-pass out mood sheets...use these to select two mood faces of your choice...as we watch the film, take notes on how Hamlet shows evidence of BEING in these two moods...you will write about this on Tuesday AND the notes will count as a participation grade
3. Keep studying vocab....we will have the quiz next week!!

-NOTE: IF YOU WERE ABSENT (or just chose music class over English) MAKE SURE you see me, since you missed some power point notes...these are important because they will DRIVE the final two papers you will write!
